Mfundo Ntobela, Pr Eng

Founder & Principal Engineer

Mfundo is a registered Professional Engineer with a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand. With over 9 years of experience in the construction industry, he began his career at Bruzar Consulting and has since advanced through positions at Sezigen Consulting, 472 Studio Architects, InfraChamps Consulting and Brava Engineers. These roles have provided him with extensive training and mentorship, shaping him into a skilled and well-rounded professional.

Mfundo's experience spans a diverse range of projects, including low-cost housing, high-rise commercial buildings, and bridge construction supervision. He has developed exceptional skills in structural and civil engineering, with expertise in structural analysis, design, and detailing. Proficient with advanced software tools such as ETABS, SAFE, PROKON, AutoCAD, and REVIT, Mfundo is well-versed in project phases from feasibility studies through detailed engineering and construction. His project portfolio includes property investments, warehousing, offices, and residential apartments, demonstrating his capabilities in design, project management, drawing preparation, and site supervision.

Mfundo also has in-depth knowledge of various contract frameworks, including JBCC, NEC, and FIDIC, and has applied these in his work. Additionally, he has demonstrated strong leadership as a Quality Management Systems Lead Coordinator, contributing to InfraChamps Consulting's ISO certification. This role highlighted his ability to make strategic decisions and manage quality effectively.

His blend of technical expertise, extensive project experience, and leadership capabilities ensures that he can handle complex engineering assignments with efficiency and excellence. He is committed to delivering structures that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and economically viable — embodying the principle that a structure must be practical and clear to truly succeed.
